Kawaii Deathu Desu Limited Edition for PSvita

First actual game review for 2021! To make it even better it is a PlayStation vita physical limited edition game, Kawaii Deathu Desu!

EastAsiaSoft is still helping the PSvita stay alive and well. I preordered it from Play-Asia which has a lot of limited editions that has't come out in the West yet plus their shipping is pretty good and comes with tracking!

Overview of everything is that it comes with the game, original soundtrack, a numbered certificate and a printed manual. The price was $35 before shipping which to me is great for a physical age with soundtrack that is limited to 1,500 copies.

Very much love this sticker that is outside the box. Play-Asia supplying us with cute stockers for our game journals.

The box is nice with the textured pop title but it is the normal small PSvita box.

Inside we have the textured numbered certificate. I did think I ordered this not at the exact second it came out so it makes sense by my certificate number is pretty high. These PSvita limited physical releases go by VERY QUICK.

The soundtrack actually has twelve tracks! I really appreciate it when the soundtracks have more than five tracks, gives me a good variety as I leave it on repeat while writing.

The game has a double sided game art cover and a manual with controls, all the characters in the game and all the trophies in the game! No need to check what trophies there are when they are right there! They have a nice little bio of who all our pixel girls are.

I started playing the game and I love how addicting it is and how it doesn't make you rage as hard as other games, probably cause the game is so cute. It really is a game you will be clocking hours in just to unlock all the outfits, characters and upgraded each character to level 10! Even after unlocking everything you see how far you can get in each stage's insane endless mode.

Highly recommend this game to everyone, it has nice beats, cute pixel girls collecting souls and lots of things to unlock and collect to keep you busy! Who doesn't like a side scroller beat 'em up in their collection. Please note it is completely sold out on Play-Asia (since there was only 1,500 copies) but it is available digitally in the PlayStation Store for $4.00!

Thank you for reading! Let me know in the comments if you also picked up this game or if you will get it digitally. Until next time, stay hype!

Demon’s Tier + Limited Edition PSVITA Review

Hello everybody and welcome back to another look at a PSVITA physical Limited Edition game. I was so excited when this was announced and was up for preorder on play-asia.com because I knew I had to get it. It dropped on April 15th for preorder and for the price of $34.99 I can say it was so worth it even if with shipping it pushed it up to about $54, once I go over everything it brings.
The back of the box tells you everything it brings which is the game, soundtrack, numbered certificate and the manual which is inside the game case.
Really admire how they printed this certificate. The title of the game and the words “Slay the Hated King!” are pushed out which is why in the picture it looks textured. To my surprise a sticker was also included which is under the certificate. I heard from other people that this sold out quickly. I waited on the website until it was released and got number 1305! I can only imagine that there was over 1500 people waiting to get it.
This soundtrack looks amazing and has a solid total of 17 tracks! I am a huge fan of game soundtracks so for me this takes the cake.

I always like to bring up if the game cover is double sided cause it adds a bit more appeal in my opinion if you collect physical games and want to display them. The other side of the cover is an epic picture of our heroes facing off to the King and his demon army!
I am happy that there is a manual but the game also lets you check controls and such but it brings a nice bit of nostalgia just having a few pages to flip.
I am so happy to have preordered this game. I have been non stop playing it and as a physical PSVITA collector this was very worth every penny spent. Honestly overall with the few games that are being limited releases as physical games, if it comes with at least a mini art book or a soundtrack the extra $15 to $20 in shipping is very much worth it. Hope to see you guys in the next review!

PS Vita Slowdown (Personal Reasons and Changes Coming in 2020)

Hello everybody! Tsubaki here and back with not a game or a subscription crate but actually a breakdown of why I haven’t been pushing out content and some changes of content I will follow through with for 2020.

Now almost all the gamers and PlayStation fanatics know that the PS Vita has been office discontinued. This is a major reason why no one is expecting more physical game releases for it. The PS Vita community is honestly very grateful for companies like Limited Run Games and Play Asia for still having physical Vita games for the people that really want to collect and buy them, but it still has slowed down because of the super low and almost non existent stock of PS Vita cartridges. They need cartridges to sell the physical games but if they barely have a thousand or so left and several games people are really willing to buy physically, not everyone will have the game or all the games they want. With that being explained my collecting has slowed to a crawl because the games that were released are not of my interest. But I am happy they still sell out of their stock because I want these companies to know that we support them.

Keeping this in mind I have been obtaining games for the Nintendo Switch but not that rapidly and not collector’s editions or limited editions because I just want to play stuff and not also have it as a keepsake. Please stay tuned for Switch content because I do have some opinions of my play throughs of the Switch games I have. PS4 limited and collector’s editions will be reviewed as per usual.

Current Nintendo Switch games besides Let’s Go Pikachu which I have digitally.

Besides the set back of the Vita being discontinued, one other major item is in fact, money. My spouse had two trips to the ER because of a condition with his liver that is causing it to swell and not detox this blood well and is still on going with major stomach problems. So not only did I have to burn my extra paycheck to make sure we aren’t behind in bills but I been rethinking lifestyle choices. I been collecting for at least the last three or four years but only until now there was a medical emergency. So now I have found a better budgeting layout and organizing system but there is no room for buying video games unless it was saved up from multiple paychecks. Maybe in the future I will make a full post on how I save for all video games while still balancing everything else.

Last thing I want to let out is that 2019 has been very anxiety and stress inducing which has been mitigated by journaling. I want to add journaling as topics in Otaku On Hype, specifically junk journaling/kawaii journaling. Journaling has not only helped me get past all these trips to the ER and rough times at work but helped me realize all the amazing artists out there that are making awesome stationery and merchandise! Every journal post that uses stickers and items from artists will be featured in case you want to check out and get some for yourself.

My journal is overflowing with stickers, postcards and everything from this year. I’m so thankful for finding this to be my creative outlet.

Otaku on Hype will continue to go strong in 2020 with more content! Can’t wait to see everyone again!

The Count Lucanor Signature Edition PSVita Review

Hello everybody! Tsubaki here and finally back with another PSVITA game. Yes yes, I know the Vita is now discontinued but it gives you more of a reason to grab all the physical games you can, starting with this one!

I wanted to play this one for a while because I have a serious soft spot for spooky and pixel graphic games. Below is the cover of the lovely sturdy box for The Count Lucanor Signature Edition.

Must say that this was worth the price considering it wasn’t anything over the price of a brand new game plus it came with the art book and the soundtrack! The art on everything is just so fitting to the game if you ever see gameplay or played a bit of it. It just gives off the right on-edge vibe that the game sets really well.

The game cover isn’t double sided but that is quite alright considering how menacing the goat looks. The soundtrack cd case looks epic and the cd design does too. The cd case itself is not fully plastic, only the part holding the cd is plastic while the cover end is more like a cardboard. The art book packs art illustration to the game design of everything in the game from characters to items!

I love the soundtrack! I might replay this game just for the music honestly. Comes with a solid 13 tracks of 8-bit spooky vibes!

This game is an amazing treasure and a fantastic story. I hope more people actually get to play this game and enjoy this work of art!
Hope this review will encourage more people to try this game out. Either way, there will be more reviews later! Hope to see you in the next one.

Kingdom Hearts III Deluxe Edition PS4

Tsubaki is here and back with a Playstation 4 Deluxe Edition game!

Sticking to the facts, almost everybody was dying for this game to finally come out. The hype was crazy, preordering it at GameStop was easy until you picked it up and you realized people where waiting outside in negative degree weather waiting for their group number to be called, to pick up the game. Honestly, I was out in the cold picking this game up and I am happy to have it but I am also happy to have not gotten sick. Let us look at the game, Kingdom Hearts III.

Honestly I appreciate the shine on the packaging. It really adds character to the name.

The Kingdom Hearts III exclusive pin is located i. The back of the packaging with a flap inside the packaging for when you want to remove it. The pin is very interesting unlike the last Kingdom Hearts game exclusive pin. Sora’s eyes are actually 3-D like in the fact that they are lifted compared to the most of the details. Certain details of the pin are also more lifted adding depth to the art. A huge switch up to the 1.5/2.5 pin which was more basic flat finish.

The deluxe edition comes with the steel game case which is very nicely decorated.  I personally leave the standard game case for display and use the steel game case for the actual game. I have seen too many damaged Playstation game cases and it scares me if the case cracks by it falling and the game is still in there.

The outside has this luminating touch where if the light reflects on it the roght way you seethe emblems within the pattern.

The game comes in the standard game case featuring the spoiled art everybody knows was gonna be the cover.

I really adore the art book. I think they did a fantastic job with it. The front and back cover art are so beautiful to look at. The inside has offical keyblade art, character art, heartless art and more! No pictures of the inside due to not wanting to ruin the experience of actually seeing it for yourself.

The last item is a GameStop preorder exclusive cloth banner featuring Woody from Toy Story and Sora, Donald and Goofy in their toy forms. The fabric is actually pretty sturdy! It is almost like a table cloth which is good cause it won’t rip. It is also taller than the chair I am using to hold it up making it a very decent size.

Now for a my personal opinion of the game. Please note this is just MY OPINION. If you want an opinion of the game that you know you agree with, then please try the game yourself. I have friends sharing the game so that both of them don’t have to buy it. It is possible. I like the game a lot but it feels short on the beginning to end of gameplay. I wish Eeyore was also in the 100 Acre Wood world cause it doesn’t feel complete without him and I do love Lumpy but I wish both where in the game without it being one or the other. Last bit if opinion is that too little of the characters in the game was voice acted. More characters should of at least had one line.

Very happy to cover this game at last! Wish I could of had bought the bundle with the PS4 but maybe another time.

Until next time everybody! Keep on playing ❤️

March Madness! The Video Game Limited Edition Hunt

Hey everybody, Tsubaki here with otaku March madness! Good news is Kagerou Daze is looking like it is releasing in a more regular basis. Besides that a load of Sailor Moon merch has been coming out in Universal Studios in Japan and more Sailor Moon X My Melody merch has come out which I will have another post on, but all the craziness is due to the release of held up PS VITA games. Most of the long waited visual novels are finally coming to North America after years of most of them being released in Japan. Now for all the die hard fans of any continous game or even specific companies, we want preorders. Actually some of the mess I went through in March is also due to PS4 preorders along with PS VITA preorders...

Now everybody has been waiting for Ni No Kuni II because the first game was beautiful and put people to tears because it was basically what people wanted and more. Especially if you like any Studio Ghibli movie or any work of Hayao Miyazaki in general. I have preordered it from GameStop in October but the preorder did not ship out on its release date due to apparent payment malfunctions. I know this happens but the fact that it was held up way after they were contacted and the problem was fixed and then held even more due to an item not being available due to them running out is absurd.

I feel like GameStop is going through a huge disorder with preorders as a whole. Because I has cancelled my preorder and physcially got the exact preorder from a GameStop store. Yes, there were so many physcial preorders left but yet this problem with a held preorder can not be resolved. Also this is the collector’s edition which was the huge package of exclusives considering just buying the game and or the edition with the game and keychain. This whole run around must have been due to werehouse shortages because what they have in the were house after the release is different from what the stores have in stock. Honestly if you find special editions in stores you are lucky since they only send them out once all preorders are accounted for.

Next crazy story is still continuing with no end. On the 30th of March the game after Code Realize: Guardian of Rebirth, Code Realize: Future Blessings, came out. However, there is a limited edition for Future Blessings that is posted on the site. However, NO ONE CAN PREORDER IT. I have called GameStop and several independent game stores if they have the Limited edition in stock however the stores said no or they are very unsure and haven’t heard any news about it, and GameStop just sounded confused and said no. I realized there was a copy of the limited edition but at a GameStop 30 miles from me and I called that GameStop to see if there was any way I could get it but they said no, because it was special requested before its release....

I never knew GameStop took special requests until now and that is the only copy I have even heard of (and was taken by the person that was suppose to pick it up) so far. No stores in the US has the limited edition but everybody has their websites saying that it exists but can not purchase. This makes no sense and a hand full of people have already put it up on Amazon for over 5 times its original price. Something must have happened with the Limited Edition being brought to stores or this game was so limited that no one can even get it except these few third party sellers that somehow magically obtained it. Hopefully I will get back to you all with good news of at least obtaining the Limited Edition.

To wrap up this rant post, beware to all gamers that want preorders. If you do not keep up with these preorders you might not get them. But please keep in mind, staying in contact with your local and favorite game stores can help you secure a copy. There is always a chance an extra copy is out there! Besides that it makes no sense that places that do preorders for any game have the listing up on their site but not have any to sell. If people can’t preorder and secure a copy or buy a copy once it has been released they shouldn’t have the listing up at all!

Persona 5 PS4 Take Your Heart Premium Edition Review!

Hello everyone! Tsubaki here and this blog will be all about the currently released in North America, Persona 5 Take Your Heart Premium Edition. Now the date it said it was coming out is April 4th but some people could have gotten in earlier due to fast shipping and such. The Take Your Heart edition come with exclusive items which are the 64 page art book, soundtrack CD, the Persona 5 game in a steel collectable case, 4 inch plush of Morgana and school bag. The price can range from $89.99 to maybe even $100 if the supply is limited due to people pre-ordering it. I pre-ordered the Take Your Heart Edition and it came in April 3rd!

Ok with all that out the way let us get started!

Must say it came in this lovely box that is open at both ends but it was covered in plastic wrap and was in a box so everything was in great condition.

The front and back of the protective cover show what the Take Your Heart Edition includes and this cover slides off with no problems.

The actual box itself shows many of the characters in the game. The box is slightly magnetic so it opens and closes with ease. Also it looks so beautiful that there is no way you wouldn't want to keep it!

What you see when you open the box is the Morgana plush and the art book. Under the art book is the game.

The game comes with a plastic cover which slides off and on. This is a picture of the front of the plastic and the steel collector's case.

The back of the plastic cover.

Back of collector's steel case.

Inside the case is a full picture of the character's in their costumes.

The sound track has 19 songs and comes in the standard CD card board holder that many games come with.

Igor on the back!

The CD has the same image as the CD holder.

Next is the Morgana plush which is so cute! It is small but is very nice. The fur of Morgana is soft and the mask is made of smooth fabric. The facial features are all stitched.

The back of Morgana.

The art book is very nice. It is hard cover and has all the characters, their personas, a few exteriors and cover arts. The art book is very well done.

Sample from the art book!

Last to look at is the school bag. I wasn't expecting much but I really like it! It looks has the feel of a Japanese high school bag but it is very light. It is thin and there isn't much padding so too much use might due damage to it. It is black with light grey straps. One side has the academy logo stitched into the bag.

What I really like about the bag is the inside because it follows the color scheme of the game which is majority black with red accent and slight bits of white. It opens with a standard zipper. There are no inside pockets and I wouldn't recommend carrying heavy textbooks in here. This is good for light items so at most I would say 4 regular sized mangas and a portable charger.

Overall for the price if you are a fan of Persona this is worth it. As a person that highly values a soundtrack and a large hard cover art book this is amazing. The plush and bag are great bonuses for people that like to collect plushies small collectibles that they can show off, such as I. :3
But if people really don't see a need for the art book and soundtrack then they should at least get the collectible game with the steel case because the case is very nice and sturdy. I never had a steel cased game until now but it is highly enjoyable. Also the price isn't that much for the normal game and the game with the steel case so it is worth it for the steel case.

I hope this helps people with knowing what their value of this Edition of Persona 5 and to help them decide if they should go get it. Until next time! Also feel free to comment if you liked this review so I can do more! <3
