Kaweco Student 60's Swing Fountain Pen Review

Hello and welcome back to another fountain pen review! This post will cover a Kaweco that isn't a Sport but the Student 60's Swing. The Kaweco Student comes in three different colors of blue (50's Rock), green (60's Swing), and orange (70's Soul) all with a cream-colored body.

To start off the price of $60 isn't too bad for a fountain pen that is a full-length pen. The length is nice even without posting however, I do have small hands.

I got the 60's Swing because I liked how the green cap and cream body went together. The nib and grip are gold plated which looks nice overall but the grip is so round that it feels like it's rolling as you write.

I did use a cartridge at one point but went back to using the converter and I must say this converter does take a bit of twisting but works fine.

One major thing about this pen, in particular, is that it needs very wet inks. Most inks will dry in the nib like this Diamine Holly, and needs help to flow again all the time. Other Kaweco pens I use are completely the opposite where they are wetter and work better with dry inks.

Overall this is a beautiful pen for a great price point but I can only recommend it to people that know they will only use wet inks. You shouldn't have to fight the nib every time you want to write!
