I did it again! Got another Kaweco Sport because I really like them, so as always let’s talk about it.
First some background info on this pen. Milk & Coffee is a limited edition Kaweco Sport in the ART range released in 2018. The Kaweco ART Sports are made out of turned Italian acrylic.
I bought this from Pen and Tool as this was sold out on every other site I looked at. I did pay for the faster FedEx shipping option along with the mini converter so it did come out to $223, which is what I expected for this.
It came in a clamp leather box with a Kaweco brand sticker and a nostalgic gold clip. They had all nib sizes available but I went for the double broad or BB. With the right wet ink, the BB nib is laying down ink like a firehose which is exactly what I wanted. For those that love to put a lot of ink down, the BB nib is amazing. I did have a dryer ink in it but it was not flowing well and I changed it to a different ink that is wetter. I do recommend wetter inks for Kaweco Sport fountain pens.
I love the swirl in the acrylic, it really does look like that fresh cup of coffee in the morning when you pour the milk in! The pen is smooth and glossy with the usual Kaweco ART Sport engraved on the cap. Due to how smooth and glossy this pen is I decided to not put the clip on it and to enjoy it how it is out of the box.
I know that I am a bit of a fan of Kaweco Sport in general so I can’t recommend it enough. I am always on the go and these are just so nice to carry around plus they have so many lovely colors! The ART sport definitely gives some gorgeous swirl patterns we don't get in other materials and I very much appreciate how it adds a fresh twist to any fountain pen collection.
Until next time, stay hype!
