Fountain Pens I Let Go

Hey everybody, I am back after updating my Mercari and selling a bunch of stuff that included fountain pens. I started getting into fountain pens in 2020 and I realized I learned a lot, especially realizing what suites me best. However, as I got more pens and switched many nibs a few pens got phased out of rotation and ended up in my selling pile.

I gave myself a limit on fountain pens by only having whatever fits in my two Superior Labour pen rolls, Hobonichi wallet pen loop, and my wooden pen holder on my desk. There are a few pens I am chasing after but it will take a while to save up to buy them or in general find them on the market.

All of the fountain pens I have/had have their review up or will have their review up soon in case you want to see if they will be a good fit for you.

To start the pens I gave to friends are the Pilot Kakuno and TWSBI AL mini in mint. I somehow pen-enabled a lot of close friends and to help them along their pen journey gave and traded them pens for other items. The Kakuno is a great pen but I felt like I outgrew it and I felt that the TWSBI AL mini was a total impulse purchase cause I mostly just use my TWSBI AL 580 and prefer the Kaweco AL sports as my main pocket pens.

The first pen I sold was the Sailor Pro Gear Slim in British Racing Green as I wanted the Gourmet Pens Hot Pink Lemonade plus I am trying to have each Sailor pen with a different size nib. I also only bought it cause I liked the green but I do prefer gold trim on my high-end pens like my Sailor pens, Pilot pens, and Pelikan pens.

The other pen I sold was the Kaweco Student and this was mostly because I disliked the grip section and really love the Kaweco AL Sports. The grip section was just not working with how I hold my pens to write and at this point, if I get another Kaweco it is most likely gonna be another AL sport in another coffee color.

I am planning to sell the Moonman Wancai Mini in green swirl after I give it a complete clean since I do flush out all the pens after I test them. I like this pen but the Hot Pink Lemonade fulfills my need to eyedropper plus I realized an eyedropper pen with a fine nib doesn't work too well cause I want to see all the sheen and shimmer come out.

Overall I am so happy with my collection and have been rotating everything so if anybody had any questions please let me know! Until next time stay hype!
